  1. I am thinking that he might be playing a Gibson J200. Nicholas has one of those and the sound that comes from it is heavenly like the sound of the guitar on this piece. Just a wild guess. There are lots of great guitars with heavenly sounds, of course.

  2. I don’t know about the make of guitar used, but that’s definitely Andersen playing it. This track is from Changes and Things 2 (1967), which was a re-make of an album released the year before which had essentially the same songs on it, but with even more stripped down arrangements.

    The version of Thirsty Boots above seems to be at a slightly faster tempo than the version on the first album which is about 40 seconds longer. I prefer this faster version. Here’s the original:
