Back in 1985, the brilliant Martin Short captured the weasel-like quality of certain political figures with his portrayal of Nathan Thurm, uncontrolled liar. As a bonus, in this comedy sketch Short also appears as the character Irving Cohen, a 90 year old vaudevillian who gets called before the House Un-american Activities Committee.

I rarely watch CNN, but last week, before I had seen the Short clip, they had Kellyanne Conway debating Chris Cuomo. When I saw the Short clip afterwards, my jaw dropped. I said to my wife this is Kellyanne Conway, exactly.
Of course they all learned from the master, Roy Cohn.
She reminds me of a magpie… happily chirping whatever comes out and incapable of an actual conversation.
