This happened to my kid while cycling on a city street, except a driver turning right without looking rather than opening a door. 🙁
I’m sorry to hear that, Shawn. I think people aren’t always aware of what the dangers are riding on a city street. When I was in my twenties, I rode my bike down Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan without really being aware of what that really meant. Almost got killed a few times from truck and car doors. I never rode in Manhattan again.

curb this problem.
