I don’t know if this makes any sense to anyone under 60, but I found this SCTV send-up of a small-town Lawrence Welk-type polka music television show hilariously true to form. John Candy and Eugene Levy lead the proceedings.

Well. I have to admit that I had Lederhosen as a child long time ago (60s of last century) but I prefer wandering in the Alps. Nice weekend!
Thanks, banactee. I have never worn Lederhosen, but the bell-bottom pants and Nehru jackets of the 60s I’m sure made me look even more ridiculous than usual.

I couldn’t access YOUR video, but THANK YOU!!! I looked up the Shmenge Brothers myself and I wasn’t disappointed. What a great way to start the day (still wiping the tears of laughter from my eyes). I totally missed SCTV the first time around. I suspect those must have been the years when my Dad controlled the TV dial and I KNOW he wouldn’t have gotten that humour. I do, though, and I intend to discover more…😊😊😊
