  1. One of the great songs of the 60s. But don’t neglect his other songs— really great such as “who am I?” and many more. I first heard this song by country joe in an unlikely Coney Island park, totally unexpected and out of place. Ccountry Joe performed it and It stunned the middle class crowd. “ be the first one on your block to have your boy come home in a box.” Yowwww! Today, one has no idea of the impression it made. Adios, you great troublemaker. Give them hell wherever your current journey takes you.

  2. There have been several updates with lines like, “Next stop is Teheran…”
    I think I’m a a few years younger than you, so it was really shocking to my virgin ears 🙂 !
