Well he sure fooled me. Why do you think Penn and Teller weren’t fooled??
When I went to see P&T on Broadway they did a trick where an audience member’s cellphone disappears and ends up in a package in the audience which contains a dead fish lying on a bed of butcher ice. The fish is split open and the phone is *inside the fish.* So…they know what that kind of trick must necessarily involve, and the ways that it might be accomplished. Penn mentioned two things that made David Stone know he was busted.
