One of Dylan’s most poetic and moving songs! Thank you, Jack. Joan Baez does an outstanding version of this on her double album of Dylan’s songs, “Any Day Now”. I wore out the grooves to that album 40 years ago. Here’s Joan performing it live. Great singing, of course! I was mistaken. Joan did NOT reverse the pronouns (just listened to it again). Wow, I remembered it differently, so go figure!!!!
