Just perfect in every way. I like the old TV shows where the singer gets to sing, clear, no fancy camera work, respectful. Beautiful rendition. I remember years ago reading a Hal David lyric book, I very much enjoy his work. And, yes, what the world needs now, indeed! Happy New Year to all.
I often think that while Burt Bacharach rightly gets his due as a composer of pop songs, Hal David gets a bit overlooked as a lyricist. Definitely one of my favorites.
