Granted that the glory days of attention-grabbing newspaper headline writing have long passed, still you have to appreciate it when they come out with an effort like yesterday’s New York Daily News headline concerning the events of May 5th.
The New York Post‘s classic “Headless Body in Topless Bar” has long been held as the the greatest headline in New York newspaper history. The author of that headline, Vince Musetto, died recently. Today, I’d like to nominate a new winner for greatest headline, the one depicted above. If you think about it, this is not even a double entendre, but a triple entendre, given the sexual and drug resonances.
